Drug and Alcohol Detox

Safe and Comfortable Detox

Detoxification is the first step to successfully begin the recovery process.

Detox helps the body cleanse itself from the harmful chemicals, drugs, and alcohol in your body. This process is difficult and dangerous in many instances if tried alone. Your body has developed a need for these substances as well as your mind and craving can be intense. That is why we suggest a medically supervised detox.

There are many new treatments available that make the detox process safe and comfortable, but these must be monitored and administered by a trained physician.

Some of the withdrawal symptoms that you may experience are anxiety, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, headaches, seizures, and muscle pains.

The newest treatments can alleviate or even eliminate many of these symptoms of detox.

Latest Medication-Assisted Detox

The newest treatments for those who are addicted to alcohol, opioids, and benzodiazepines have proven to help in the withdrawal process and help clients gradually decrease their cravings and discomfort.

Medical attention during this process will be around the clock until you are stable and ready to begin your therapies.

The following are medications that may be used in medicated-assisted treatment:

  • Naltrexone (Vivitrol)
  • Suboxone
  • Methadone

Detox is only the first step to your recovery process. Once you are stable and no longer at risk for withdrawal symptoms, you will enter the appropriate level of care. During your detox process, you are assessed and your individualized “Whole-Woman” treatment program is designed. This program will help treat any underlying conditions that are keeping you in addiction, and also get you physically and spiritually healthy.
