We offer all levels of care, which range from Residential to PHP, IOP, and transitional living. Your length of stay is dependent on what is clinically appropriate for your individual needs and how well you progress in treatment.

We are in Network with Louisiana’s largest medical insurance companies and we work with most out of network insurance companies. Our Admissions Counselors are some of the best in the business in helping you get the coverage you need for your treatment. We also work with you if you want to pay privately for your treatment.

Family and Loved Ones are part of our exclusive “Whole Woman” approach to your treatment, visitations will be based on your assessment and progress with your treatment program.

The Journey Home builds a sisterhood of recovery, these bonds will last a lifetime and they are vital to your recovery. Phone usage will increase as you progress through treatment. It is important to limit outside distractions so that you can concentrate on your recovery.

Smoking is permitted in approved areas only. Vape devices are not allowed, and neither are electronic cigarettes.

Each day is filled with multiple group sessions, holistic therapies and experiential therapies along with your individual evidence-based sessions. You will find that your days will be filled with the healing of your mind, body, and spirit.

Breakfast and lunch are prepared by the staff as you will be busy in your treatment programs, the evening meals which are a highlight of the “Whole Woman” program are part of your life skills experiential therapy. You will get to work alongside our wonderful in-house nutritionist weekly to learn and prepare dinner for the house.

The Journey Home is set on a large rural property that has a significant amount of space for outside activities. Basketball, volleyball, lounge area with fire pit, and meditation area around the pond.

Sleeping arrangements are shared. There are three rooms for 16 clients. Every client starts out in Rm 1 that is closest to the overnight staff and moves through the house as their time in the program increases.

The Journey Home provides trauma-informed care and focuses on the underlying causes of your addiction. We utilize the latest therapies to treat trauma and underlying disorders so that you can better concentrate on your recovery.

We offer a complete continuum of care at the Journey Home and each level of care has different parameters for cell phone, laptop, and car accessibility. Based on your individual situation we will work with you to accommodate your needs and help to ensure your recovery.

We want you to be comfortable while you are with us, we will send you a list of suggested clothing and personal items to bring during the admissions process.

Many of the women that work at the Journey Home are in recovery. We also have some that are not as we have found that there is a lot to be learned from them about how they have coped with the same stresses and traumas without turning to drugs or alcohol.

Medications are evaluated and approved by our medical director and admissions team. In the event of needing to see a Dr. or psychiatrist while in our program an appointment will be made to address those needs.
